Review Part 2 of 3: Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of TIMESPLITTERS: FUTURE PERFECT for the Playstation 2 PS2 video game system. Time Splitters is an amazing series of first person shooters FPS designed by Free Radical. TS Future Perfect is the third in the series and possibly the best. You play as Cortez sent from the future to the past, then present, and future, back to the past, and future, and you get the idea. It’s an awesome game for shooting game fans who want a fun story and great action. Originally Timesplitters had an amazing online function but it was cancelled and discontinued a few months ago and is no longer hosted on the servers (which SUCKS). CGRHD is eagery awaiting a new Timesplitters on the Playstation 3 PS3 or Xbox 360. We demand Timesplitters 4!! MAKE IT FASTER. I think Free Radical is making that game HAZE and we’re getting that as soon as possible, but Timesplitters is what we want around here. I want to play as Robofish and shoot Ninja Monkey and Mr. Giggles and the Gingerbread Man. TSFP also came out on the Xbox. Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room HD reviews EARTH DAY for ipod from publisher Chillingo. This arcade style game has elements of Robotron 2084 mixed with Asteroids, if you never moved around the screen at all. Enemies (asteroids and space ship thingies) converge on you from all sides trying to invade earth and it’s your job to fend them off and save our beloved home world. Arm your planetary defense system thing with a variety of upgrades like multiple guns, shields, rapid fire and faster rotation. Earn weapon upgrades and a huge ass laser like the one you get in Heavy Weapon. Come to think of it, this game is a bit like Heavy Weapon as well. How long can you survive the relentless assault on earth? 1 minute, 5 minutes…? A challenging game with infinite replay value for fans of arcade games, the Earth Day ipod app video game is amazingly fun and addictive with 2 choices of controls (touch or tilt) and a hip synth style beat. Recommended for fans of the aforementioned arcade games who want a great pick up and play blast-fest for your ipod Touch or iphone. Classic Game Room HD reviews DEMON’S SOULS for Playstation 3! This PS3 exclusive release is one of the best games of 2009. Hack and slash your way through Boletaria with your hero. This CGR review of Demon’s Souls has gameplay from Demon’s Souls showing PS3 game play of Demon’s Sould being played on Playstation 3. Published by Atus, Demon’s Souls is immersive, complex and amazingly detailed. Demons Souls gameplay is traditional 3D brawling, hacking and slashing and rolling style game play with some awesome weapons and magic. The Nexus, a great ice shrine nestled in the mountains, bestowed the power of the souls onto him, bringing prosperity to his kingdom. This first person shooter FPS style game could not be more different from an average FPS because the point of the game is to flow through each level with speed and precision rather than shooting everything. Mirror’s Edge is a unique and creative game with an incredible sense of detail, speed and height. Want to stand on top of a 60 story building and leap off? Well, you can do that (and not make it!). Scale buildings, leap enormous distances and run from the blues as they try and machine gun you. This review is from the PS3 version of Mirror’s Edge which does include trophy support from Playstation Network, Mirrors Edge is also available on Xbox 360. The game plays at a smooth and crisp 1080P with excellent sound design. Classic Game Room HD reviews GRAN TURISMO 5 TIME TRIAL Demo for Playstation 3 PS3, a free download demo from Polyphony Digital where you compete in a time trial on Indiana Motor Speedway in a Nissan 370 Z (tuned and stock). Watch CGR take a lap of the Indiana race track and set a sloppy time against many others. The Gran Turismo 5 free demo shows the care that is going into GT5 because the game looks and sounds amazing. Hard as nails too, dont try to just mash down on the accelerator because your car will spin off the track into never-never land. Compete against other times set by other drivers. GT5 has more of a simulation feel than the previous Gran Turismo offerings and retains smooth, simple and easy to navigate menus with soft jazz from GT5 Prologue. Probably best played with one of the force feedback wheels from Logitech (going to have to get one of those I think.).
